Under the direction of the Director of Learning & Development, the instructional designer transforms content into engaging and interactive eLearning using instructional strategies, visually appealing layouts, and helpful job aids and materials. The Instructional Designer will work as an integral part of a collaborative instructional development team responsible for the assessment, design, and development of Acceptance training. The incumbent must be able to independently develop entry and advanced level courses using a variety of multimedia technology and authoring tools.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Cultivate positive relationships with SMEs and content owners at all levels of the organization to improve clarity and flow of content, ensure relevancy, accuracy, and an agreement of course objectives.
Design serious games and create simple animations.
Design and develop learner-centric, interactive learning solutions that consistent with internal standards and best practices drive measurable results
Select the most appropriate instructional strategies to improve effectiveness of a course (e.g. scenario-based learning, storytelling, game-based learning, demonstration, simulation, and/or role playing).
Write clear problem statements, objectives, outlines, and create branching scenarios and storyboards.
Create visually appealing eLearning interfaces that promote branching, interactions, comparisons, feedback, etc.
Apply project management skills to meet deliverables and timelines.
Build templates, fillable forms, and coaching tools
Willing to periodically extend workday/work week to meet defined timeliness
Perform other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to apply adult learning principles and design strategies to produce sound instruction and a positive learning experience for team members

Proficient with Articulate 360, Camtasia or Adobe Premiere, Microsoft Power Point, Excel, Word, Adobe Pdfs (Vyond, Visio, and HTML a plus)

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Skillful in blending aesthetics and functionality to promote learning

Skillful at using multimedia (videos, graphics, and images)
Experience creating microlearning and interactive video
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design or related field from an accredited college or university or 5 or more years equivalent experience in instructional design/development preferred
3 years in instructional design/development or degree in instructional design required
Typical office environment.
May require prolonged computer usage with extensive and repetitive hand and eye movement.
May require sitting or standing for long periods of time.
